"Rounded up and lashed into action by the very wonderful Rosie Eade, Hedgepig booted bum at the Vic last year and now return ... Great fun", Burnham-On-Sea Folk Festival.

Celtic-Folk-Rock band Hedgepig are firmly rooted in the 'rocking up' of traditional folk; songs deftly shared between their Scottish and English lead vocalists, and tunes driven by duelling fiddles, alto sax and whistles, over a solid back line of bass and percussion, “They can play their instruments, sing rather well, and they certainly are FHL [Faster, Harder, Louder]...if you like your music with a not terribly trad attitude, lots of verve, and a bit of percussion done loud,” (Green Man Review).

Legends on the Cambridge pub circuit, including Cambridge Folk Club, they also pop up at various UK summer festivals, and have twice pre-headlined at their local Ely Folk Festival. “Rounded up and lashed into action by the very wonderful Rosie Eade, Hedgepig booted bum at the Vic last year … Great fun” (Burnham-On-Sea Folk Festival).

Their new album 'Over The Forth' returns to the band's Scottish roots, while still holding on to some of the darker folk themes found in their previous album "Third Rock", and again including original contributions from the "Folk Pixie" herself, Rosie Eade. “Its obvious they are the finest the genre has to offer in the area - fans of Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span would do well to get themselves a copy,” (Cambridge Evening News), though Rosie's vocals are likened to Grace Slick and Stevie Nicks as often as to Maddy Prior.

The current line up is Steve White on vocals and guitar, Mark Lemon on fiddle and vocals, Rosie Eade on vocals, saxophone and whistles, Jim Gair on bass, David Hicks on drums, djembe, bodhran and violin, and Steve Matthews on mandolin and bodhran.
